DISABILITY INCLUSIVE BOOK BOX PROGRAM:

Teaching children disability inclusion through books is the most impactful way to begin the process , but there is a lack of inclusive books available. That’s why we created our program, the box contains two beautifully written books about disability inclusion, a pack of 5 inclusive stickers and a "Disability Inclusion for Kids Workbook" When you make a tax deductible Donate of $50 or more you will receive one book box for yourself and one will be donated, in your honor, to the school or library of your choice. (To help cover shipping add $10 to your donation.)

It’s the Book Box that actually gives back!

Meet Tina B

“I don’t know motherhood without feeding tubes and trials.

With each new tube and trial I have had to grow and learn in more ways than I could have imagined.

Picture of TinaB sitting on the ground with her legs screeched out leaning against a wall. Tina has long brown hair and is wearing a white shirt with jeans.

As a mother of a daughter with a disability I know I need to help educate others. I am on a mission to teach students and parents how they can be more inclusive to the disability and special needs community.

This mission is close to my heart because My daughter Noel is diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. She uses a wheelchair and has extra medically equipment.

I also have four other kiddos who I am teaching how to love and include people who are different than them.

A special needs mom, a big God and a beautiful purpose, with Tina Beauvais

On this Episode of the Hope Warrior Project we have special guest Tina Beauvais. Tina Beauvais is a special needs mom with a story you won’t forget. Her daughter, Noel, has muscular dystrophy and was constantly in and out of the hospital for the first 7 years of her life…. until God intervened in a big way!

Through the challenges experienced by both her and her daughter, Tina discovered a new perspective. A special book given to her by a stranger shifted her thinking from “why me and why my daughter?” to “what is God’s plan and purpose in this?” Now, Tina and her daughter are sharing their lives and experiences to teach others about disability inclusion and the beauty of simply being kind.

Controlling the Chaos: Lessons of a Life Coach Who’s Been Where You Are

On this Episode of Special Education Advocacy with Ashley Barlow we are chatting with Tina B:

-“When we believe that we are in control, it adds to the chaos.” Oh man, friends! You’re in for a big treat in this podcast episode, Part 2 of our 3-Part Series of Lessons of a Life Coach with Tina B. Tina and I dig deep into the chaos, how hard it is but also accepting it and even learning to be happy in the chaos. To achieve this Tina takes us through a journal prompt to help us tease out what we can control, what we can influence, and what is out of our control, thereby helping us to organize the chaos. I learned so much in today’s episode and can’t wait for you to be as empowered as I was after talking to @tinab_disabilityinclusioned. Drop us a like and hop over to listen now!

Remember Why you do what you do:

Today we talk to Coach Tina Beauvais, who currently is serving her second year as the Team Chaplain for the University of Northern Colorado Women's Basketball Team, and who previously coached 3 years varsity girls basketball at Dayspring Christian Academy in Colorado.

'"Coach Beau" provides a wealth of knowledge and experience in proving to be an example for her players, as she started her basketball career in 7th grade, and knew immediately she wanted to coach because of the influence she could have on each player's life and potential. A mother of 5, including her 12 year old daughter who has Muscular Dystrophy, Coach Beau talks about the importance of teaching our players 'grit' and mental toughness, and giving them space and strategies to learn those skills the same way we would teach them skills specific to our sport.
